Lynn Allen
Tracing rural roots back six generations on both sides, Lynn Allen is
part of the world she writes about. Whether it's fighting a
temperamental tractor, trying to outwit livestock, or documenting the
lives of her neighbors, Lynn can catch the flavor of life outside the
urban jungle.

Johnnie Allen
Johnnie Allen has spent his entire life in the southeast corner of
Colorado - except for a brief stint in Germany when he was drafted
during the Korean War. When he retired from farming a few years ago, he
finally had time to write - something he has always enjoyed. Everything
from the humorous to the profound with a strong dash of satire thrown
in, he spends a chunk of very winter at the kitchen table, pen in hand.
While all these stories are fiction, they are rooted in the small town
people and culture he has enjoyed all his life.
If you're in the area (35575 Road JJ, Cheraw, CO), don't forget to stop by Junkrassic Park and see
the more hands-on end of his satirical streak - two acres of metal
people, animals, and things to tickle your funny bone.

Illustrator - Sandy Campion
When Sandy Campion was five years old, she discovered her passion in
life. She was watching her grandmother at an easel learning to oil
paint. Right then and there, young Sandy decided that she wanted to
spend her life drawing and painting the ranch life that surrounded her.
A lifetime of study and persistence has paid off. Now that she lives in
Springfield, Colo., she has time to turn the photographs she took during
25 years of ranching into art. Years of working with livestock makes
reproducing them on paper or canvas easier for Sandy. She can catch the
expression on a horse's face, or put the right kink in a cow's tail. She
has felt the power of a prairie thunderstorm and fed a bucket calf, so
her renditions of ranch life contain the emotion and atmosphere of the
real events. She can also reproduce wildlife and range scenes.
